Systems AnalystEmployment Type: Contract (6+ Contract)Workplace Type: OnsiteLocation: Carson, CAIndustry: Higher EducationPay Rate: $30-$37/hrResponsibilities:Configure, install, and maintain the enterprise data center infrastructureUse performance monitoring software and interpret results.Perform preventative and remedial maintenance to the university's system(s) such as installing operating system patches and fixes.Evaluate existing and proposed systems and recommend upgrades and/or modifications.Monitor and track highly detailed and moderately complex to complex data, information, and/or systems in a dynamic environment.Analyse logs, system events, and monitor security alerts.Design, develop, configure, technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization.Support campus-defined systems, applications, and standardsStructured cloud design and deployment techniquesAssist with cloud infrastructure configuration management and systems analysisConfigure and troubleshoot network technologiesVMware, anti-virus protection, server backups, server operations, administration, and network communications.Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) servers, desktops, pools, thin clients and related peripherals for all campus departments participating in virtualizationPerform work independently and troubleshoot issues with cloud and on-premises application programs.Required Education and Experience:A bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science or business, or equivalent training5+ years of experience working in information technology with at least two years managing systems and servers in corporate hybrid-cloud infrastructureExperience working with cloud-based solutions Microsoft 0365, Azure and/or AWS preferred()Knowledge of network technologies, LAN/WAN infrastructures, and networking protocolsExperience configuring, monitoring, and administering virtualize servers (VMware) and VDIAbility to attend and complete training on Microsoft 0365, Azure, AWSWe are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
