(NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor for its Southern California team at our Carson, CA site.The Site Supervisor role is a key member of the management team for the Southern California HYCO facilities. This position will have day to day responsibility with a broad range of duties focused on ensuring all aspects of operational discipline are in place and functioning properly for the Carson, California SMR (Steam Methane Reformer) Facility. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with the plant and regional support teams as well as contractors. The position collaborates with the Plant Manager of the Carson and Wilmington facilities.The facility consists of one large Steam Methane Reformer (SMR) hydrogen plant with a Steam Turbine Generator (STG). The site produces compressed H2 which is transported via pipeline to local customers.Key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:Safety performance, reduction of recordable injuries, BSP compliance and process safety managementAchieving environmental compliance targetsSupport of all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Carson site, including supervising operators and maintenance techniciansProvide support to SoCal pipeline systemWork daily with SoCal Account Manager on customer requirementsMaintain strong relationship with customerOversight of customer billing and natural gas nomination activitiesHandle plant budgetWork with HYCO Site Services group for Projects and Turnaround PlanningCandidates will be evaluated on the following:Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skillsA track record of success on Safety, Environmental, Quality and Employee InvolvementAbility to build and maintain the working relationships with our customers and suppliers at the operating levelA strong commitment to employee involvement, team building and diversityA performance history of driving continuous improvement.Strong communication and organizational skillsSelf-starter with validated leadership abilitiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred, but not requiredStrong manufacturing/production background and experienceAt Air Products, we work in an environment where diversity is essential, inclusion is our culture, and each person knows they belong and matter.
