EMPLOYBRIDGE SEARCH GROUP is currently recruiting for a Vice President of Transportation in the Carson CA area. The Vice President of Transportation will oversee all aspects of the global multimodal transportation operations. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all aspects of the transportation business to actively contribute to the development, execution and realization of company's growth strategy
• Product movement and carrier sourcing, as well as developing the strategy for both domestic and international deliveries
• Recommend and implement an optimal structural design to deliver sustained processes
• Develop and implement centralized supply chain strategies and controlling the efficient flow of goods, services and information from potential sources to affiliates
• Develop a comprehensive global strategy focusing on emerging technologies to drive efficiency and keep pace with new and existing regulations
• Ensure capability development across the markets to enable efficient and compliant movement of cross-border trade, focusing on order-fulfillment operations
• Coordinate effective use of carriers to meet inbound and outbound capacity, service and least-cost objectives
• Lead all pricing negotiations and contract management efforts. Contract negotiations including but not limited to Import and Export contracts, Domestic Rail contracts, Domestic LTL/FTL including ground, ocean and air providers and small parcel contracts.
• Provide analysis and strategic direction in relation to all shipping data including net pricing and all charges to drive efficiency and cost reduction
• Create transportation capacity strategies and developing contingency plans to cost-effectively support varying levels of company sales and changes to supply/demand patterns
• Establish and utilize Key Performance Indicators that drive competitive costs and services
• Analyze and assess industry and market dynamics on a regular basis to evaluate transportation costs and service trends
• Oversee all aspects of customs compliance for entire product categories
• Coach, lead and mentor team to ensure that performance standards are aligned with organizational standards; providing performance feedback and reviews as requiredQUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Operations Management, related?field or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • 8 plus years of industry-related experience
  • 5 plus years in senior management
  • Multi-channel distribution network and global supply chain experience
  • Expert knowledge of domestic and import transportation
  • ERP knowledge and experience with transportation management systems a plus
  • Excellent presentation skills both written and verbal
  • Salary $185,000-$250,000 negotiable based on experience and education, plus bonus
