Job Details

Title Shoring / Grading Estimator

Location Carson, CA / Southern California

Compensation $80,000 - $105,000 DOE

Responsibilities
Review project plans, requirements, and specifications for hillside, grading, shoring, and underground utilities projects
Communicate with clients to gather additional information and understand expectations
Perform accurate take-offs and determine labor and equipment costs
Review and understand all bid documents and assess project risks
Maintain project administration records including time and quantities, daily/monthly reports
Prepare bid packages; compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids

Must have
5+ years' California estimating experience including shoring, grading, & underground utilities projects
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Well organized, flexible, detail oriented and able to multi-task
Thoroughly familiar with operating Heavy earth moving equipment, such as excavator, bulldozer, compactor, loaders, and forklifts
