This position handles all aspects of international air export (including commercial and US Government household goods) with customer service, daily movement of freight and documentation activity. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Daily handling of export routing, bookings, documentation and AES filing. Daily coordinating movement of freight, including determining routing to meet customers economic and time requirements. Household good cargo has very specific handling requirements. Daily monitoring of shipments. Perform all aspects of customer service through direct communication with both internal and external customers using verbal and in writing while maintaining a professional image and insuring a quality of service. This includes communication and coordination with overseas agents. Develop and maintain carrier relations with airlines and trucking companies (negotiating space & spot quotes) Able to set and meet deadlines per internal and external customer expectations. Identify and analyze customer requirements and ensure internal processes meet or exceed these. Analyze current market to ensure competitive rates and profitability and quote shipping rates to customers. Insure invoicing of customers is accurate to quoted and contractual obligations Must be flexible and willing to cover other tasks within department as needed. Occasional overtime depending on the workload Possible on-call scheduled for weekend Regular and consistent attendance is required. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Minimum requirement is high school diploma or GED plus a minimum 3 years of international freight experience,
Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook user Familiarity with 10-key Good organizational and multi-tasking skills Knowledge of export routing, documentation and AES filing. Knowledge of regulatory compliance for Export Knowledge of handling and routing Unknown Shipper cargo Knowledge of handling and routing household goods and US Governments shipments a plus Knowledge of routing and handling domestic shipments to/from offshore markets a plus (Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam and Alaska) IATA DG or/and IMDG certified is a plus Experience with coordinating Canadian truck moves to/from the USA Ability to work accurately with a wide range of data and reporting Ability to work in a high volume environment Ability to calculate freight rates, including the effect of dimensional weight, and amounts such as percentages, volume, and discounts Experience working independently in an environment where problem solving is necessary Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and One Note a plus Foreign language skills a plus We offer: Compensation - Competitive pay Healthcare - Medical, dental and vision plans Paid Time Off - 17 days paid time off, PTO days increase with years of service Holidays - 8 paid holidays Retirement Plan - 401k with up to 6% employer match Extras - Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, Long Term Disability Coverage and Employee Assistance Program at no cost to you!
