Our Refining Services division, Eco-Services Dominguez, CA plant now has a opening for a Maintenance Manager. We are not offering visa sponsorship or relocation for this role at this time.We are not using staffing agencies for this role at this time.The Maintenance Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the overall effectiveness of the mechanical and instrument/electrical maintenance functions for the plant.Responsible for the proper management of the Storeroom inventory.Submit and manage yearly departmental budgets.Provide long term direction the maintenance department.Assist in ensuring equipment reliability by following good maintenance practices in repairs, inspections, preventive and predictive maintenance, as well as following the appropriate standards for new equipment installation.Ensure all work is performed to comply with all applicable regulations (OSHA 1910.119, RMP, etc.). Maintain an up to date plan for continuous improvement.Coordinate the overall planning and execution of the plant's annual maintenance turnaround.Participate on both Enterprise as well as Management sponsored teams.Actively support and enforce the plant's HS&E standards.Actively support and promote continuous improving performance standards.Participate on the Management Team.Participate in Enterprise and local continuous improvement teams. Ensure the development of other members of the department.Support Management Team initiates and help drive change.Provide miscellaneous assistance such as rotating duty supervisor.HS&E RESPONSIBILITIES Actively supports and drives corporate EHS initiatives at the site. Creates and drives a safe and environmentally sound facility.Be a role model for safety by following all safety rules and demonstrate visible actions that support EHS. .Participates in and supports incident investigations ensuring that corrective actions are properly implemented.Implement strategies to achieve a safe work environment.Provide clear, consistent expectations on safety and provides the resources to drive continuous improvement.Speaks knowledgeably about EHS issues impacting our plant, rapidly communicates them up and down the chain of command and has the discipline to follow through on necessary actions.Emphasizes safety in daily contacts with personnel. Recognizes and reinforces good safety behaviors.Be knowledgeable of and comply with all applicable site, corporate and regulatory safety and environmental requirements.Attend and actively participate in safety meetings and complete all applicable safety training as required.Properly inspect, use and maintain necessary PPE in accordance with site PPE matrixReport all safety or environmental incidents immediately and openly participate in the incident investigation.Responsible for the overall HS&E performance for the Maintenance department.Responsible for the compliance to all regulatory requirements.Conduct management team safety audits per Management System requirements.Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance employees are properly trained in all facets of the plant's activities (HAZWOPER, Skills certifications, process overview, etc.).Responsible for ensuring appropriate PPE is available and effectively utilized, and identifying areas that may need to be added to the IH assessment performed for the site by corporate resources.Ensure environmental compliance within your department.Enhance employee participation in the HSSE program through informal discussions, plant inspections, training, risk assessments and participation in team meetings.Ensures the completion of Site HSSE goals as applicable to their department, monitoring progress accordingly.Ensure accountability for HSSE is maintained within your department utilizing the ISMEC process.Ensure waste is properly labels in compliance with local regulations.Identify training requirements for every position within the department.HS&E EXPECTATIONS Use the ISMEC process to hold your team members accountable for their HSE performance.Be fully knowledgeable and trained on all HSE procedures, especially life critical, and serve as guarantor of their implementation in your area of responsibility.Encourage open discussion of, and listen attentively to, HSE concerns. Follow through with timely resolution and provide feedback to you employees.Ensure procedures are written, understood, followed, and kept current for your area. Engage your team members in reviews of the procedures.Ensure near miss and incident reports are initiated and closed in a timely fashion. Actively engage team members in investigations, identifying root causes, immediate corrective actions, and measures to prevent recurrence.Hold regular safety and toolbox meetings with your employees, and include feedback on incidents and lessons learned. Communicate and discuss the safety performance of your team, plant, GBU and the company.Ensure process safety risks, consequences and safeguards are communicated and understood. Recognize the need for MOCs and ensure they are executed in your area of responsibility.Solicit, identify, and prioritize improvement opportunities for HSE, equipment, and processes in your area and take action to address those opportunities.Be present in the work area to recognize and address HSE issues with employees, contractors and visitors.Ensure all required training is completed and documented for your team.Must be knowledgeable on maintenance best practices.Must be knowledgeable in basic accounting and budgeting fundamentals.Must be able to perform mathematical calculations.Must be proficient with all applicable computer systems (MS Office, SAP, RCMS, etc.).Must be aware of applicable regulatory requirements.Must be able to wear full face respirator.Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
