Job Description:

Dreams for Change oversees the City of San Diego's safe sleep site, providing shelter and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness.Volunteer OpportunitiesVolunteers are needed to assist with setting up, serving, and cleaning up meals at the safe sleep site. This support allows staff to focus on providing services to participants.Requirements & Important Notes

• Attire: Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Since the activity is outdoors with little shade, sun protection such as sunscreen and hats are recommended.
• Bring: Water bottle
• Physical Requirements: Prolonged standing, lifting up to 20 lbs, and no food allergies. The site is wheelchair accessible, but accommodations for physical limitations are limited.
• Weather: The event proceeds rain or shine. Meals are provided daily.
• Photos: No photos or recordings are permitted on-site.
• Note: A California Megan's Law sex offender search is required before your first shift. Download the HandsOn Connect app to sign the waiver and check in.
