office looks like this:
- Designing and building a secure enterprise data infrastructure
platform primarily based on data lake/data lakehouse
technologies
- Working closely with Management, Data Analytics and Data
Engineering teams to refine the platform to achieve company
objectives
- Developing a security-compliant user-management framework
- Collaborating with other technology teams to define and develop
cross-functional technology stack interactions
- Researching emerging technologies and tools related to data
lakehouse
- Working closely with Product Management and Development teams
to rapidly translate the understanding of customer/enterprise data
and requirements for products and solutions
- Proficiently working within SQL and ETL processes, ETL and DB
performance tuning, table partitioning, shell scripting, and
driving prototypes and POCs
- Setting up the infrastructure for Data Visualization tools like
Tableau, QlikView, etc.QualificationsGot the skills and experience?
Here's what we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in retail and/or
eCommerce
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a data technology leader
designing and developing data modeling with a minimum of 3 years
specializing in data lake/data lakehouse architecture or data
analytics (should include technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL and
MapReduce, as well as other industry Big Data frameworks including
Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, etc.)
- Extensive hands-on experience using Databricks Data Engineering
platform, SQL Analytics, Delta Lake and Unity Catalog
- Extensive hands-on experience implementing serverless
real-time/near-real-time architecture using Cloud-native services
(e.g., Azure, AWS or GCP Tech Stack) and Spark technologies (e.g.,
Spark Streaming, Spark ML)
- Familiarity with the technology stack available for data
management, data ingestion, capture, processing, and curation:
Kafka, StreamSets, Qlik/Attunity, GoldenGate, Hadoop, Hive, Hbase,
Cassandra, Spark, Flume, Hive, Impala, etc.
- Familiarity with Networking, Windows/Linux virtual machines,
Container, Storage, and ELB; auto-scaling is a plus
- Experience in data governance fields such as lineage, quality,
catalog, etc.
- In-depth experience in data modeling and experience with
business intelligence systems (dimensional modeling, data mining,
predictive analytics, etc.)
- Familiarity with an open-source stack including YARN, Kafka,
Hive, Pig, and relational databases
- Broad-based architecture acumen (Database architecture, ETL,
SOA, Cloud, etc.)
- Comfortable in multi-terabyte production environments
- Highly proficient with large data sets and clustersAdditional
