LBS CUSTOMER SERVICE - Must have LA/LB Port Experience

Job Description:

$18-24/HR DOE

Position Summary:

This position reports to the LBS Operations Manager and Quality Control Manager the daily operational activities that provide overall support and guidance to implement best business processes that ensure customer satisfaction. Facilitate on time reporting and ensure business viability. Provide clear guidelines to dispatchers regarding the functions and process of customer's accounts/lanes. Foster a cooperative work environment between customer, operations, and billing department.

Responsibilities:

  • Help implement our strategic plan to drive LBS's customer and carriers into a nationwide, 24/7 operation.
  • Track and trace container shipments
  • Data entry for assigned accounts (delivery orders)
  • Run daily reports twice a day for customers update on shipments
  • Process payments using terminal websites
  • Create / Schedule Deliveries: Port & Customer's Facility
  • Plan deliveries according to carrier availability.
  • Make sure to receive confirmation on all accessorials added to the order. Example Wait Time, Pre-Pull, Storage, Chassis, Etc.
  • Communicate driver ETA's or delivery delays.
  • Create an SOP for every customer's account
  • The ability to dispatch freight, update orders and load screens while also properly closing orders timely through our carrier system
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Support all other special assignments as directed

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience with drayage and truckload transportation/logistics contracts and agreements
  • An analytical approach to logistics planning that creatively solves challenges
  • A dedicated and motivating leader of people and processes who is capable of successfully managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines under pressure
  • To be able to make timely decisions in a complex environment under pressure
  • Proven ability to succeed with minimal guidance, manage multiple projects at once, and take initiative under ambiguous circumstances
  • Experience working in a start-up or technology environment a plus
  • Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish/English a plus

Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice.
  • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

Physical Efforts:

Ability to sit for long periods of time frequently, stand/walk for long periods of time occasionally
