Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Support Specialist
to coordinate investigations and resolve information system issues.
The role requires conducting research to understand and resolve
technology problems, communicating updates to affected users, and
following up after issues are resolved. You will use help desk
tracking software to recommend improvements for user systems and
initiate onboarding procedures for new users. Ensuring quick and
effective response times to resolve requests is crucial. The role
also involves coordinating referrals to appropriate personnel for
repairs, training, services, or software issues, and collaborating
with a third-party company for cybersecurity issues.
Responsibilities Coordinate investigations to resolve information
system issues. Conduct research to understand and resolve
technology problems. Communicate updates to users affected by
problems. Follow up with users after problems have been resolved.
Utilize help desk tracking software for recommendations and
improvements. Initiate onboarding procedures for new users into the
system. Ensure quick and effective response times to resolve
requests. Coordinate referrals to technical, professional, or
service personnel. Work with third-party companies for
cybersecurity issues. Troubleshoot office services. Essential
Skills Customer service and support. Help desk and technical
support. Administrative skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and
Microsoft Excel. Software troubleshooting. Additional Skills &
Qualifications 2-3 years of technical or help desk support
experience. ERP systems knowledge is a plus. Familiarity with
ticketing systems. ITAR compliance knowledge. Work Environment This
position is 100% onsite at our Costa Mesa HQ. Flexible working
hours are available, with start times between 7 am to 9 am, though
you must adhere to the same schedule daily. You will report to the
VP of Administration who is based in Alaska, as is one other team
member. Therefore, you will be the only person in the California
office and must be able to work independently as support will be
remote. Training will also be conducted remotely. The HQ
accommodates about 40 people, though the number fluctuates with
temporary staff. The company is private equity-backed and
frequently acquires additional businesses, meaning you will assist
in integrating new companies into the corporate structure. Job Type
& Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Costa
Mesa, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is
$28.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits
and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
