Job Description:

SUMMARY
This position supports the operations of the HR team, handling reception area and COVID HR responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to: Attends to temporary agency employee assignment starts, employees/temps returning from absences, contractors and visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately and in compliance with COVID security rules.
Issues temporary ID cards and ID badges and assigns access in security system.
Keeps a safe and clean reception/ lobby area by complying with procedures and COVID security rules
Serves as COVID Marshall.
Performs pre-screening and Contact Tracing questionnaires, follows up with staffing agencies on all absences
Updates Absences Tracking spreadsheet.
Updates site Absence COVID Log.
Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Performs HR administrative work, including scheduling meetings/calls, data entry and sorting mail.
Helps organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training sessions.
Assists with timekeeping duties; collects and processes documentation of employee absences, time off requests and missing punches.
Prepares HR packets, including new hire and termination packets.
Assists with the planning and coordination of employee events, including employee appreciation luncheons.
Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
Performs job function in adherence to safety instructions and rules. Does not perform any job, duty, or function employee has not been trained for.
Is punctual, on time, and adheres to company attendance policies. Regular Attendance is an essential job function.
Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Experience working in a Human Resources or Customer Service department in a Company with a headcount over 100 employees.

Associate degree in Human Resources Management or related degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer service orientation, must possess a friendly demeanor, and able to work with all levels of staff.
Strong work ethic and able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Organized and efficient in daily tasks
Accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
Able to function under highly stressful conditions and interact cordially with co-workers to accomplish tasks.
Eager to learn and assist all team members when needed
