Banquet Captain and help bring unforgettable events to life!
Whether it’s an intimate gathering or a large celebration, you’ll
be at the heart of it all, delivering top-tier service and
maintaining the highest standards of quality and hospitality. Your
leadership will play a key role in the success of our banquets and
catering operations. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES – • Work with
Event Sales Director on a daily basis with current events. •
Responsible for leading the service team in the execution of
private and campus events. • Hold pre-function meetings with
servers to ensure smooth & efficient service, assign server
stations, and coordinate the timing of courses with the kitchen
personnel. • Assure proper inventory of all banquet service
equipment and supplies to meet required needs. • Develop on-going
training for all FOH service employees. • Act as Lead Waiter at
special, private functions as needed. • Meet and greet guests upon
arrival and make contact with the host of the event. • Train,
supervise, and evaluate FOH service staff. • Assure that all
functions are properly staffed in accordance with the event. •
Assure the neatness, cleanliness and safety of all dining areas. •
Participate in weekly BEO meetings. • Assume Opening or Closing
Manager responsibilities when assigned. • Conduct post-event
evaluations to improve quality and efficiency of all FOH functions.
• Notify the Banquet Chef and the Event Sales Director of guest
complaints at the time they occur. Rectify any complaints as soon
as possible. QUALIFICATIONS – • Ability to work at a rapid pace
while maintaining attention to detail • Ability to multitask,
teach, and motivate • Good supervisory, communication, and
promotional skills • 3 – 5 years of experience in the food &
beverage industry, ideally in banquets or a catering environment. •
1 – 3 years of supervisory experience • High School Diploma • Food
Handlers Certificate • FSP & ASAP Certified SALARY – $23.00 -
