Job Description:

The Planning Systems Analyst position is a key role within our Corporate Operations & Supply Chain group. An enthusiastic self-starter with a strong drive to improve existing processes and systems is highly desired. Excellent organizational skills, ability to balance immediate / long term priorities and exceptional multitasking skills are required. Key responsibilities will be to establish & drive production schedules and ensure material availability with a goal of 100% on-time delivery to customers. This role will drive material requirements to minimize both shortages and inventory levels. In addition this person will be responsible for trouble shooting & managing Planning / ERP Systems, Databases and developing various Analytics / BI reports requirements for the group. Essential Functions: ? Maximize the use of resources through just in time material planning and capacity based production scheduling to minimize inventory costs and maximize on-time delivery to customers. ? Schedule, release, and manage shop floor work orders according to demand sources and incorporate necessary engineering change orders or deviations or special requirements. ? Develop and publish a feasible production schedule for manufacturing department that considers customer priority, materials, capacity, and release status. ? Monitor material inventories, track progress against production schedules, and work with Purchasing to resolve supply chain issues. ? Provide ship date commitments to Sales for new orders and quotes as well as backlog order status on existing orders on a continuous basis. ? Provide status reporting to Operations management and other internal customers. ? Use standard planning concepts, practices, and procedures as well as experience-based judgment to plan and accomplish goals. ? Develop & Manage Planning / ERP Systems, Databases, Analytics Reporting functions ? Minimize Inventory On Hand as well as analyze Excess & Obsolete ? Help with the launch of Sales & Operations Planning process Education, Work Experience, Key Skills Requirement: ? Bachelor degree in Business, MIS, Operations, Supply Chain or related field. ? 7-10 years? experience in Supply Chain Planning (MRP, DRP, MPS). ? Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application. ? Strong analytical, IT Systems, planning and organizational skills. ? Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written). ? Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional (Excel & Access, SQL a MUST). ? ERP Systems Implementation Experience (Both functional & technical) highly preferred * Database skills highly preferred. ? Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to challenging and changing priorities.
