We would love to have you join our team, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.THE ROLE Project Manager - Security Systems - CCTV & Access Control, USA:As a key member of the Operations Team, the Project Manager will report to the Sr. Operations Manager with a dotted line to the Sr. Finance Manager. In this position, she/he will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Birdseye System implementation (CCTV, Access Control, Electrical, and Infrastructure) across the US. The Project Manager will also play an important role in representing the organization as an industry expert and support the Sales Department with new project quoting and after sales implementation. The Project Manager supervises, directs and motivates the project team during planning, estimating, design, installation, start-up, commissioning, turnover and warranty of assigned projects. This position will ensure customer satisfaction throughout all project phases until completion.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Strategy and Planning:Perform walkthroughs, meet with customers, and take detailed thought notesAnalyzes plans, construction contract specifications, and contracts to determine project requirementsDefine, update, and implement operations implementation objectives that are aligned with Birdseye's strategySource new contractors (electrical, cctv, access control, and infrastructure) across the US as requiredIdentify important and recommend solutions to mitigate risksPartner with other team members to understand performance drivers and define appropriate reports and controls to be used in the businessCapital planning and investments, manage and report on operating budgets to ensure ROIEstablish strategic partnerships to secure supply chains as may be neededManages the development of project plans in advance of project activity ensuring effective executionProject Management, Control, Business Processes:Lead process improvement initiativesDevelop and maintain project plans and timelines, track progress, and communicate status updates to clients and team membersManage internal stakeholder expectations and ensure customer satisfactionLead project meetings and team stand-ups, and ensure team members comply with project standardsOversee day-to-day full-installation of systems - coordinate and supervise subcontractorsResolve conflicts and remove impediments to project progressPrepare timely installation summaries, gantt charts, in accordance with industry's best standardsResponsible for accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of installers and contractors, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, and inventory of assetsAccountable for inventory records including counts and reconciliationsUtilizes financial and monthly forecasting to manage and contain costs and works with other team members to monitor, manage and control costsWork with internal and external business partners to manage departmental spend in line with budgetsManage, coach and develop assistant project managersResponsible for annual audits, if needed, and providing information to internal or external auditorsEnsure compliance with all government permits, regulatory provisions, and legal requirementsImprove and maintain internal controls for accurate financial and operational reporting for complianceEstablish efficient and documented work-flow processes and installation policies and proceduresHelp Implement new systems and organization controls as may be requiredSupport IT team to manage, mitigate and minimize Birdseye's IT and network riskEnsure all historical operational and finance records & documentation are maintained in an orderly, accurate and timely fashion and develop processes as may be needed to support the automation of such informationDevelop controls for the maintenance of implemented systems and other critical applications as neededDevelop new initiatives and processes that reduce waste and improve efficiencyProtect assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controlsDevelop and manage relationships with contractors, vendors, regulators, consultations as neededPrepare or oversee progress billings, pursues timely payments from the customer and authorizes payments to material suppliers and subcontractorsFile for licenses and/or permit applications in local jurisdictions and manage associated relationshipsOther ad hoc duties as requiredTechnology, Software, DocumentationDocument all details that pertain to each job in Birdseye's CRMHelp implement software/hardware required to meet Birdseye's internal and external accounting needsHelp audit, improve and contribute to company wide IT infrastructure and Network Security, as requiredParticipates in job site final walk thru and manages the completion of all close out documentationABOUT YOU:University Degree in related field, and/or PMP CertificationExcellent writing and communication skillsMust have aptitude to understand and interpret contracts drawings and project specificationsMust have an understanding of job financial reports and the ability to apply these in managing assigned projectsMust have the ability to resolve the scope of work and contractual issues and change orders on assigned projectsMin. 5 years of experience in industryHands on, strong knowledge/experience installing CCTV, Access Control and inventory management oversightIndividual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standingMust have project management usage software experienceHave entrepreneurial spirit and worked in fast paced environmentsExperience delivering presentations to senior executivesWilling to travel frequently for several days at a time across the US, on short noticeCORE COMPETENCIES & CHARACTERISTICS:Confident, Positive, Ambitious, Respectful, Humble, Relationship Builder, Calm under pressure, Adaptive, Specific-Goal-Oriented, Highly Disciplined, Fast-Paced, Organized, Natural Leader, Negotiator, Program & Project Management, Process OptimizationLOCATION: Work from home office, and travel to different States for meetings always when required
