Job Description
We're currently looking for a Project Management Director to join our Research, Design & Development (RD&D) team. In this role, you'll oversee the Planning team and partner with leadership to ensure the on-time delivery of products with a wide range of complexities-from idea to shipment. You will help create and maintain KPIs, improve processes between key stakeholders and drive team accountability to deliver the final project objectives. This role requires strong leadership skills-including the ability to influence and guide the team within a rapidly evolving and cross-functional environment. The successful candidate will be experienced and well-grounded in fundamental project management principles as they pertain to new product development.

A day at Lakeshore looks like this:
Providing project leadership by overseeing all projects in flight to ensure they are meeting deadlines and deliverables
Overseeing product planning; leading the team to develop and maintain product roadmaps by implementing best practices to ensure appropriate product strategies are defined and technical requirements are being met
Working across RD&D and other Creative teams to ensure resources are aligned to projects according to stakeholder priorities and that projects are being delivered to match stakeholder specifications
Managing and reporting on department product plans and/or risks; laying out multiyear development plans and identifying areas for further improvements
Continuously collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategic direction and to establish project priorities and delivery timelines
Applying project management principles, including analyzing performance and driving continuous improvement opportunities

Got the skills and experience? Here's what we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree
PMP certification is helpful but not required
8+ years of relevant Product Management experience
5+ years of experience as the leader of a department-wide strategy
Effective cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders to organize, plan and prioritize work across the product team
Deep problem-solving experience and a talent for navigating ambiguity and influencing cross-functional managers
Ability to make sound judgments and maintain concern for details while working in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented mindset with a strong affinity for data and analytics to drive and support product- and business-level decisions in conjunction with leadership
Expertise in the application of project management software and the ability to utilize project and portfolio management systems
Proven record of building team relationships across multiple locations; the ability to stimulate, motivate and build effective interpersonal work relationships across all disciplines
Proven negotiation, issue resolution and team-building skills
Ability to manage and lead multiple projects and objectives, often with competitive and changing deadlines
Proven track record of organizational, prioritization and multitasking skills
Ability to identify and resolve project issues-including those related to timing, resources and cost-to prevent delays in project milestones
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including as it pertains to stakeholder management, facilitating and managing meetings, and facilitating team decision making
Ability to adapt to new processes and new ideas
