Systems has an opening for a Manager Engineering, Product Support 2
to join our team of individuals within our Product Support
organization supporting the F/A-18, F-5 and T-38 Programs, position
will be in El Segundo, CA . This leadership position will be
full-time in the office with nominal travel responsibilities,
including potential for international travel. This role will
support and work directly with the B-2 and ACS Product Support
Program Office, and customer operations in a variety of locations,
and include all aspects for overseeing, sustaining operations, and
providing timely, knowledge-based Product Support Engineering
Integration and Execution. Position will have direct supervisory
and/or management responsibilities for Engineering Technical
Logistics for business unit, accountable for Fleet and Field
Support, Support Equipment Engineering, and Reliability,
Maintainability and Testability. Primary duties and
responsibilities include but are not limited to driving mission
readiness, from design influence and inception, through flight test
and fielding, fleet operations including support equipment,
sustainment, and modernization. As required, support weapon system
decommission by providing technical and logistical support directly
to the customers and warfighters maintaining and operating our
weapon systems. Proactively supervise associated and/or required
deliverables from other Product Support functions responsible for
Reliability, Maintainability and Testability (RM&T), Tooling
and Support Equipment Engineering (SEE). Serve as the primary point
of contact for communication, coordination, and reach back
capabilities between internal NG stakeholders and operational units
or depots. Including coordination of failure analysis of components
and systems designed and supplied by Northrop Grumman Corporation.
In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to be:
Responsible for ensuring mission success by working side-by-side
with internal functions on execution of statement of work along
with the F/A-18, F-5, and T-38 customer weapon system experts to
keep our products at optimum performance and readiness. Project
Management- Planning, Schedule, and Communication Earn Value
Management- Labor and Material Budget BOE development- Definition,
hiring and training Deployment- Scaling of flexible capabilities
Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s) Accountable for Fleet
specific- Mod/Retrofit planning, Site surveys/activation, Field
failure analysis and response, Sustainment feedback, and Deployment
planning as required. Coordination of Support and Sustainment
Contracts Life Cycle Logistics Plans and Maintenance Concept Fleet
Readiness Requirements and Facilities Requirements Engineering
Change Proposals (ECP’s) non-recurring, retrofit kits, and support
of U.S. Navy validation/verification process Responsible for Field
Support- Retrofits & Repairs, Field service engineering, Field
support representatives, and Site management along with Onsite
training Modification/Retrofit Data Package and Field Support
Requests Logistics Footprint and Operational Tempo External
Customer Correspondence and feedback Authority and accountability
for collaboration and direct support of USN Fleet Readiness Center
Southwest (FRCSW), Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) and as
necessary Boeing under Service Life Modification (SLM) contract.
Engineering Support: Provide technical data, repair procedures, and
on-site support for troubleshooting and modifications Logistics &
Supply- Ensures necessary material requisition and schedule to
maintain turnaround times (TAT) Depot Level Repairs- Oversees
efforts to eliminate high-priority backorders Responsible for
internal and field personnel and certification requirements
Security and Deployment- Oversight for Field Service
Representatives, including coordination of resources with an active
U.S. Secret clearance Certifications- Maintenance personnel meet
specific, ASI-coded (Aviation Structural Mechanic), training
requirements, including certifications for specialized work
Standardization- Awareness and adherence to Northrop Grumman
Corporation and the Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures
Standardization program for all maintenance and flight procedures

and inspires others. Basic Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor’s
of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or
Mathematics (STEM) discipline AND 9 years of related
professional/military experience within mechanical, electrical or
other engineering related background OR a Master’s Degree in a
Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 7 years
of related professional/military experience within mechanical,
electrical or other engineering related background. Possess
rudimentary understanding and application of Product Support
Technical Discipline principles, concepts, practices, and standards
and proficient project management skills to oversee and execute
role and responsibilities Experience in programs as well as sector
business, processes and technical tools (CATIA V5, TeamCenter, and
Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS))
Proficient in use of Microsoft business tools (Visio, Excel,
Project, MS Teams) Experience in formal risk and issues management
Experience leading a team and/or project and interfacing with
external customers Adept knowledge of earned value processes and
procedures Conversant with agile frameworks Ability to obtain and
maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. Ability to travel as
needed (approx. 25%). Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or
Master's Degree in associated technical field. Experience in the
military aerospace development environment is preferred.
Familiarity leading technical proposals and ability to lead the
customer through reviews of technical / logistical content. Program
and portfolio management experience. Proficiency using program
business tools; SAP, MES and FRACAS. Advanced proposal experience.
Aircraft maintenance experience. Executive writing and presentation
skills. Experience in spares, repairs, fleet support, technical
data, and support equipment. Prior Cost Account Management (CAM)
experience. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the
ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
Active, In scope DoD Secret clearance. Primary Level Salary Range:
$146,600.00 - $219,800.00 The above salary range represents a
general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of
factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of

insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
