Innovate to solve the world's most important challengesThe Senior Advanced Project Engineering role will be responsible for the analysis, design and development of advanced Turbomachinery -products. The Torrance Turbomachinery group includes Air Cycle Machines, Air Foil Bearings, Liquid Cooling systems, Turbine Power Systems, Compressors and Fans to be used in aerospace applications. - You will be the technical leader and be the primary decision maker for program cost, schedule and technical issues. You will lead prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance. Use your strategic thinking to help establish and implement direction for new business opportunities, products and processes Lead and maintain an optimized program management operating system for specific business segment programs bring the best global thinking to your own organization and region.Key Responsibilities: The design, development and qualification of Air Cycle Machines, Air Foil Bearings, Liquid Cooling systems, Turbine Power Systems, Compressors and Fans which meet customer and internal requirements. Leading IPDS teams in establishing program plans with respect to cost and schedule. Identifying and resolving design problems of performance, strength, weight, material selection and finishes. Identifying and incorporating best practices for product design. - Implementing development and qualification test objectives, writing test procedures, and overseeing the preparation of test units and the conduct of tests. Current employees may visit HR Direct.YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering. 8 years of product development in mechanical equipment experience preferably rotating equipment.
