Essential Functions:

Responsible for designing and developing new products for the aerospace industry with emphasis on manufacturing process development. This is a hands on opportunity that will

Key Responsibilities:

• Designs and develops new products and product families reducing global requirement to designs and processes
• Coordinates building of prototype including selecting process, tooling and equipment
• Analyzes research data, prior art and relevant specifications to define the design space.
• Confers with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems and validate design.
• Prepares or coordinates preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings.
• Plans and designs experiments, coordinates test programs and evaluate test results
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to design product and simulate performance.
• Works under the direction of a Sr. Engineer or Engineering Manager to manage new product development projects from concept development to design/product definition, verification and validation.
• Participates in the preparation of invention reports and preparation of other documentation required to file and prosecute patents.
