Rate: $33-34 per hourPosition Summary:We are seeking a
detail-oriented and analytical Grant Budget Analyst to join our
organization on a part-time basis (0.5 FTE). As a Grant Budget
Analyst, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive
financial analysis and support for our grant-funded projects. This
role requires strong attention to detail, exceptional mathematical
and analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate
complex financial information. The Grant Budget Analyst will play a
vital role in ensuring the efficient management of grant funds and
the successful completion of project
objectives.Responsibilities:--- Budget Development: Collaborate
with project managers and stakeholders to develop comprehensive
project budgets for grant proposals, ensuring accurate and
realistic estimates of expenses, revenues, and funding needs.---
Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis on grant
budgets, including reviewing cost estimates, monitoring spending
patterns, identifying discrepancies, and making recommendations for
budget adjustments or reallocations.--- Budget Monitoring and
Reporting: Track and monitor actual project expenditures against
approved budgets, preparing regular financial reports, variance
analyses, and forecasts to keep project teams and management
informed about financial performance and potential risks.--- Cost
Control: Work collaboratively with project managers to develop and
implement effective cost control measures, identify cost-saving
opportunities, and provide recommendations for optimizing resource
allocation.--- Financial Documentation: Maintain accurate and
up-to-date financial records, including expense reports, invoices,
receipts, and other supporting documents related to grant-funded
projects, ensuring adherence to record-keeping standards.--- Audit
Support: Assist with grant-related financial audits by providing
necessary documentation, conducting internal audits of grant-funded
activities, and facilitating external auditor requests.---
Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams,
finance department, and external stakeholders to ensure effective
communication and coordination regarding budgetary matters,
providing timely financial updates and responding to
inquiries.Qualifications:--- Bachelor's degree in finance,
accounting, or a related field.--- Proven experience in budget
analysis, financial planning, or grant management.--- Understanding
of financial principles, budgeting processes, and grant
regulations.--- Proficiency in financial software and tools,
including Excel, accounting systems, and database management.---
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen
attention to detail.--- Excellent written and verbal communication
skills, with the ability to present financial information in a
clear and concise manner.--- Strong organizational and time
management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet
deadlines.--- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as
part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal
